Welcome to week 8

I will take this shot every week to show the changes as the east Stand develops.

View from the North West corner of the stadium

A view from the West Stand looking at where those pesky Eaststanders will wreak audio havoc on match days.

Just keep the sound within limits because we have to balance our salmon sandwiches and champagne on our knees you know.

Up goes one of the arms that will support our magnificent Cantilevered roof.

A lot of lifting gear to get this into place.

Who is it that is sat underneath these tons of steel?

T

There it goes the 2nd piece is brought into place.

If there are a lot more by Sunday I will add another image

Almost in Place
This is the 2nd of the 3 regular photographs I will take to show the East Stand Changes.

Just look at the bike shed to the left, oops sorry the North Stand, it looks so small.

If you can get up to the club and view it for yourself, it is fantastic and it's OUR's.

Slowly but surely the floors start to take shape.

The guys are flat out building us the best stand  we have ever seen from Bristol to Worcester

There you Guys-n-Gals.

The pitch looks fantastic!

A view from the bus shelter as you enter the main club car park.

Looks pretty good don't you think?

Then next season with the ALL New North Stand, which will obliterate the New East Stand, it will look pretty amazing

Some more views now from the back of the North Stand so that you can get a feel for sheer size of the East Stand

View looking directly towards the South Stand.

From this angle you get a feel for the overhand of the roof, it end directly above the advertising boards surrounding the pitch

Zoomed in on above image

Right in now, to show where the roof joins onto the man the stand

And another, getting carried away now!!

Here we have the steel lattice work in place which will form the foundations for one of the verticals of the "Warrior Tower" Reception and office block

Another one going in.

I did not realise how far the "Warrior Tower" will come out into the old pitches until today.

The "Blue Tower" will be very impressive indeed

Better get this level mate or our jobs are on the line, as the engineers survey and confirm locations of the main structural foundations

A view looking North from the East Stand you can see how far into the Supporters concourse the tower block will extend

As you can see from this image the back of the stand is now taking on its final shape

And another showing the complexity of the build A couple of likely lads checking the quality
Road marking are now down showing 2 lanes in and one lane out of the roundabout.

One lane of the new road will be open for use this Thursday/Friday coming.

The new road now enter the final stages of completion. All the drains have been cleared and pressure tested, so it won't be long now.

View from the road to the East Stand Couldn't resist just one more

Just had to go back after driving up to the Jinny Ring Center this morning (Sunday)

The guys were still working and I would guess that a third of the steel work is now in place.

Here it is from the communications Cabin in the Southwest corner of the ground.

I am sure that is not a bike shed, is it?

Walked at the back of the dead ball area to get this shot looking north along the east stand.

The East Standers are going to be housed in a magnificent stand. I hope the noise from the stand is just as magnificent!!

Now back to the new roadway.

This is the approach from Sixways Island into the new roundabout. Left to Sixways, straight on to Droiywich

Come round the roundabout and take a left to the new canal link road.

It has been levelled off on the one side and looks ready to take traffic.

Hopefully will be in operation next weekend.

This is a view looking back from the link road to Sixways.

From this angle the South Stand is dwarfed

WRFC Wanderers' changing rooms and the exit from the underpass

This is the brand new road sign as you come down from Smite.

Looks pretty good eh?
