There was not going to be any respite for the beleaguered Manchester defence

Matt Powell was driving his forwards onwards and once again providing sweet fast ball to his flyhalf James Brown. After all the work in the first half it was now time to reap those benefits. Mat started to look for the gaps and was making break after break. His electric acceleration took him away from some despairing tackles as he broke away to supported on both side by players from all positions who would then carry on the movement making massive yards towards the Manchester line

It was player like Tony Windo seen here on the right driving into the centers, he did try the side step once but decided he enjoyed the one straight down the middle more. Quick in behind him was Matt Powell who once again had another good game at scrum half

the ball was being used at frightening speed, everywhere players were looking to attack and give the ball to a fellow team mate, no selfishness here it was all about getting the ball moving and putting someone else into a scoring opportunity. Consequently some parts of the game became a little disjointed. However the overall feeling was that there was always danger when Worcester were in possession

The game had been well won, therefore trying out their more flamboyant game plans whilst under pressure in a real game will pay dividends in latter games.

You Iyran Clunis has a line throw like an exocet it is fast and on the button. A very powerful man who loves to get into the action, another great acquisition and at 19 looks good for the future development of the Warriors team.

1.   A great start to the game, planned and executed like a special forces incursion into enemy territory.

2.  Duncan Roke was full of verbal encouragement all day, made some really telling tackles and is getting better at his positional play.

3.  James Brown had another outstanding game, with Mat Powell feeding him good ball. He controlled the game, with Tommy and Gary having very good games

4.  Handling and passing between Tommy Hayes and Gary Trueman was an absolute  delight.

5.  Ben Daly is a very good player who has added another dimension to out game especially in defence and close attacking play.

6.  the young players that came on fitted in really well and added a further dimension to the game.

7.  Matt Evans really dose look a special talent, very strong when carrying the ball and very quick.

8.   Drew Hickey was in tremendous shape. His ability to control the game and make something from nowhere is something we have lacked for two years. His tactical awareness and the reading of the game were all combined to make him my man of the match.

9.  Maybe the throw in the line at Bedford faltered but it is sure on line and firing now. With Young Iyran Clunis in the wings both Hall and Daly had better play well. He has a great throw it is like a bullet.

That is another good victory, we have now played 255 minutes of rugby without conceding a single try. Take that record into the Exeter game and we will have the edge needed to win.
