During half time Duncan Roke presented the Under 10's with their winning trophy.

Which was dropped in the pass (No change there then)

Worcester were out of the block like raging bulls, hammering backwards the Henley forwards.

The line was begging, the first thrust was repulsed, the second was. Then Drew (Carlos) Hickey reversed pass between his legs for Henley to intercept and run 100m to score in the corner

Warriors 26 : 14 Henley

This was not the end 3 minutes later a fine attacking move starting on the halfway line culminated in a great try for Henley. Once again unconverted

Warriors 26 : 19 Henley

The ball seemed to be slowing down between forwards and backs.

mat Powell had had 4 superb games but a change was now needed before the skills of Trueman, Hayes and Co was wasted

On the bench was the returning Werner Swanepoel, it was time NOW!

On came Werner and the game changed. Immediately there was more purpose and speed about the ball. Forwards were going in harder and there faster. backs were taking the right lines along with the right attacking options.

Alongside Werner's return was Christian Evans who had come on at the interval, giving Richard and Chris 40 minutes each. The game had stepped up another gear.

15 minutes into the second half and the warriors penetrate the solid Henley defence. With another great try from the electric Gary Trueman. After only 4 playing games has o=beaten his last year's try tally.

Mr calm converting for

Warriors 33 : 19 Henley

With 25 left on the clock could the warriors score another try or two, could Henley keep them out, in fact could Henley score 1/2 themselves. They had shown that they can take the chance when it comes.

With the little general on the field, the players were now melding together into one cohesive attacking unit. Confidence was oozing out of every pore. Worcester were going to attack, attack and attack again.

The first try going to the fizzing Wes Davies when the referee played a great advantage from a very unlikely situation.

Warriors 38 : 19 Henley 64 Minutes

Next in line was Daren O'Leary who was having a fine game at fullback, he was taking some great attacking lines, if he only had another yard of pace? 68 Minutes

Next up was Mr 200% the powerful Mark Gabey on to replace Dan Zaltsman: 72 Minutes

Followed by a great try from Jon Hylton who took a flicked ball from Daren O'Leary and just creamed the defence on 78 Minutes

Warriors 59 : 19 Henley

It seemed the job had been done!

However this team must learn to play right upto the last whistle.

The game was won but you have to come off the field in the ascendancy not after giving away another soft try.

The last word going to Henley who never gave up all day. Once again they attacked at speed through the middle and then sped the ball wide screaming into the Worcester 22

Finally forcing the ball over in the corner

Warriors 59 : 24 Henley

Observations:

1.   Good to see an almost fully fit squad to choose from, the skill level on the bench was pretty impressive

2.   You could see that this team had never played a game together this season. Trained yes, but actually played under pressure no.

3.   The ability of this team knows no bounds, it is all starting to come together. There were passages of play where it looked almost telepathic where players knew the supporting player would be. The Trueman try being exactly that, straight off the training field.

4.   Daren O'Leary played his best game yet, however Crystal still seems off colour.

5.   Lee Fortey played a really good game. He has developed massively since having the benefit of full time coaching with John and Andy

6.   The forwards continue to impress with their ability to catch and drive over a try with ease. An essential weapon to have in our armoury

7.   In Drew Hickey and Werner we have two thinking players, both good motivators and leaders

8.   The whole front five are now playing well as a unit with the addition of  Daly and Fortey this unit is capable of taking on any pack in this division. With the sidestepping Lyman coming back what a three to have in your match day 22

9.   Gary Trueman is back fit and looks more dangerous now than  before his injury.

10.  In the super cool Tommy Hayes we have a diamond, who oozes professional confidence in all he does. Where now does Ben Hinshelwood fit in??

Well with The Bees loss at Orrell, the fact that now have 3 extra games to fit in the pressure is really on. We need to carry on winning and that means supporting out team especially if the game is a tough one.

Remember other teams have to beat US, we are the ones commanding respect, it is no use trying to hold us. So long as we will not be beaten we have a great opportunity. NEVER NEVER lose!!!
