What a start to the day! Up at 8 O'clock, at the club by 9 O'clock on the road by 10 O'clock and the first pint down by 11:O'clock Can there be a better way to start a Saturday morning except to add this was the Challenge Cup Semi-Final. Only our 2nd year in the Premiership and already we were in a European semi-final. BRILLIANT - FANTASTIC |

The ground was not quite full but if that was 5,000 short of capacity then I am a millionaire. The atmospheres was fantastic as both sets of supporters tried to out-cheer each other all around the stadium. In fact I am sure the Sky cameramen were also joining in. Lamb got the game underway, restart (why) Lamb got the game underway with Matt Powell taking the ball cleanly passing to Kai Horstmann. |

Who drove straight into the chasing Gloucester forwards and we were off to another fantastic start as it was attack from both sides. Worcester made ground quickly into the Gloucester half of the field. Attack after attack reigned in on the home defences, it held firm. Then after turning over a silly ball Gloucester had their first decent field position we infringed and young Lamb kicked Gloucester into an early lead |

It didn't take
long for The Warriors to strike back as a series of high intensity
attacks saw Gloucester go off-side right in front of the posts Gloucester 3 : 3 Warriors. Honours even and once again it was all set up for another thrilling phase of attacks from the Worcester Warriors |

Again and again
the forwards destroyed the Gloucester opposition in the set piece. Old
he may be but Reg certainly knows how to scrummage and with Audi at
Tighthead it was awesome. This domination enable Drahm to set up some great field position for the backrow trio of Sanderson, Harding and Horstman to start punching holes in their first line of defence. |

Twice within 5 minutes Worcester made massive breaks and charged towards the line. 5 on 3 and then 3 on 1 and failed miserable to convert it into points. To compound the misery Gloucester then turned over ball set-up an attack which culminated in a terrible missed tackle from Horstmann and allowed Simpson-Daniel to run in at the corner, unconverted Gloucester 8 : 3 Warriors |

This
magnificent trio of front row hero's were magnificent, never once
taking a backward step. they were doing their job but we needed some
spark of midfield creativity to make use of all this possession. Again Worcester powered into the Gloucester 22 and set up camp. Attack after attack was stopped on the rocky shores as the clinical skills to score just weren't there. As we all know if you don't score they will and so it turned out as Anthony Allen suckered Thomas Lombard in hanging off the tackle and then cutting inside leaving totally stranded as he scored under the posts for Gloucester 2nd try, another gifted opportunity from terrible defensive organisation Gloucester 15 : 03 Warriors |

Hearts slumped
but the passion and volume from the supporters was only matched by that
shown by the Warriors, as they set the shoulders and ATTACKED again!!.
No league points here it was win or your out of the Challenge Cup and entry into next years H.C. |

A super counter attack started by Uche O'Douza, which left Simpson-Daniel flat out, was carried on by Sanderson and then Murphy. The pressure was retained as was the ball it was recycled right and then back left. Drahm shimmied cut inside, took a massive two man tackle but managed to roll over the defenders and place the ball firmly between the posts. We were back Gloucester 15 : 10 Warriors |

The supporters went wild and so did the Warriors as they piled on the pressure. It was flat out rugby as they fought for those points to take the lead before half-time. Once again it was Lombard breaking the line and setting up the first phase and then Harding who linked and jinked to set up a great attack Culminating Captain Fantastic receiving the ball 15 meters out. He pinned back his ears hit the gas and spearheaded for the line. Run we screamed, run as defenders tried to pull him down. He was having none of it. the white line was visible and he was going over it. As he dived those final feet the Warriors supporters in the Buildbase stand just exploding in sheer joy as Worcester took the lead. Gloucester 15 : 17 Warriors |
